A dumb human ; Like you

Anonymous asked: Did you get to talk to Chris or did he just ignore fans as usual?

First of all, I don’t usually answer these kinds of questions and I definitely try not to be mean to anyone, so for the sake of education, let me just tell you a few things. 

1. Yesterday was Chris’s movie premiere, he was the man of the night and the one that all the press and all the publicity wanted to talk to. He was promoting his movie and running around doing work for that. The fact that he found time to introduce the movie at all, is amazing. 

2. If Chris had walked into the movie theater, the fans would have mobbed him. They crowded Darren and nearly mobbed him and while Darren seemed alright with it, Chris is more cautious. (For obvious reasons. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, try googling “Chris Colfer fans at movie theater” yeah, he has a right to be wary of us fangirls) I heard that at his after party, WHERE HE SHOULD HAVE HAD NOTHING ON HIS MIND ASIDE FROM CELEBRATING, he had a line where fans could come and meet him, say hi, and take pictures. Maybe not as accessible as others but safer for him, and still good for fans. 

3. I have met Chris Colfer a total of TWO times on the glee set and both of those times he took time out of his busy schedule to come out and greet me and my friends. The first time his make-up person was practically doing make-up on him while he talked to us, he used up the one 10 minute break he had to come out of the set and see his fans. The second time they were calling him back on set but he stopped and chatted with me for a moment about Struck By Lightning and how much I enjoyed it. 

4. Correct me if I’m wrong but was it not Chris that had a multiple state BOOK SIGNING in the summer, when he should have been enjoying time off, working on his second TLOS book, working on his scripts, filming his second movie?? He went around the country to MEET HIS FANS. Most of whom knew him from Glee and a lot of whom hadn’t even read his TLOS book yet. He accepted every gift, every letter, every word they had to say to him with such an amazing amount of happiness and gratitude that I’m surprised he is still real. Not only that! But he had another book signing for SBL the weekend after Thanksgiving!! Once again, taking time out of his break, to meet fans. 

Chris Colfer may be more cautious but he is nothing if not completely accessible to his fans. He has always been just as happy, excited, and amazing to talk to me as Darren has been and he has always showed just as much gratitude and respect to me, the only thing we can ask is that you show the same to him in return. I apologize if he has perhaps not seen you, or had to be whisked away to do something else and didn’t have a chance to say hello to you, but he is only human and with everything he has been through, everything people have said to him, and everything he continues to experience every day, it is a miracle that he is as humble and as willing to give us his time as he is. Please think before you judge people, Anon, because I think you’ll realize that it really isn’t necessary.

One wristband to Chris’s book signing, going to a good home.

By some crazy happenstance, I have an extra wristband to Chris Colfer’s book signing tonight at the Grove in LA.
